What can you find on this website. This Site is published by Peter Tümmers and Tjeerd van de Put. They are active in the Kata Chamionships and compete on the highest level in National and Intenational Kata Championships. With the best result thusfar a 4th place on the first World Kata Championship in Malta in November 2009.
They are specialists in Nage-No-kata, Katame-No-Kata, Kime-No-Kata and Kodokan Goshin-Jutsu.
They can provide training/seminars for Judoka's who wants to learn the specific details and principles of the Kata's mentioned above. You can find also Videos, championship reports, explanation of Kata championships, information about seminars of Peter and Tjeerd.
Gold for Peter en Tjeerd during NK Kata and Silver during EJU Kata tournament in Bruxelles
On 12 February the dutch National Championship took place in Gilze. Peter And Tjeerd won their 3rd Gold Medal in a row with Nage-No-Kata! This means they are placed for the coming EC Kata on 25-26 may in Koper (Slovenia) and also for the WC Kata in Pordenone (Italia) on 22-23 of September.
On 19th of February, a week after the DC, they won Silver during the EJU KATA Tournament in Bruxelles Belgium. The finished just after the Belgium couple Gilon/Gilon, who where 2nd during the lats EC Kata. Tommasi/Tommasi from Italia took the bronze medals!
Two times a brons medal in Lignano Italy,...
A good preparation for Peter and Tjeerd, but the result is very disappointing. The level of judging was very low and only Italian Judges were present. On April 30th 2011 it was the 4th EJU Kata tournament of Lignano. The Italian brothers Tommasi became first, but this was a bit doubtfull, also by themselves because of a rather big mistake in Yok-Gake and the overall flow of their Nage-No-Kata. Also in the preliminary round Peter and Tjeerd did not perform their best, but a stronger Nage-No-Kata was set in the finals, but sadly just enough for a 3rd place. Hopefully the judging will be altered in using judges from more then 1 country in the future, otherwise this tournament will not be used by international kata competitors!!!

Kodokan Summer Course 2010
Also this year Peter and Tjeerd travelled to Japan. They particapated again to the Kodokan Kata summer Course in Tokyo.
The progam was this year 7 days instead of 6 days, on the 7th day were
the exams. Peter and Tjeerd took 2 exams this year and passeds both
Kime-No-Kata and Kodokan Goshin-Jutsu with an A-level, the second
highest level.

WC Kata in Budapest disappoining,...
The World Championships Kata took place on the 25th and 26th of May 2010 in Budapest Hongary. For Peter Tummers and Tjeerd van de Put a very disappointing tournament! After a good preparation to this tournament Na een goede voorbereiding naar dit toern.....
